Bikes on trains in Sicily?

Sicily is the same as mainland Italy. you simply check the schedule and you will find which trains accept bikes. You will have to purchase a ticket for your bike in addition to your ticket. There will be a specific car to use, and the car has a bike symbol by the door. We just used trains around Lake Garda and it was super easy.

I just searched the website for Trenitalia doing a simple Palermo to Catania and found trains that accept bikes, so it’s possible depending on the time . You’ll have to watch carefully for the trains that will take bikes if you have a connection.
