We did a bike ride in Tuscany with Cicloposse. It was AWEWOME. One of the highlights of our trip! We did the guided day trip to Pienza.

We did a self guided bike tour with Cicloposse - 2x now. We did one in Umbria - Orvieto, Todi, Assisi, etc. and just returned from one in Tuscany with them, started in Siena, to the coast. www.cicloposse.com Giuliana is great, email them from their site. She can custom do a tour for you, and they have day tours too.
We did our first tour with Ciclismoclassico based in Boston, Good tour, but too crowded.
If you can read a map, go self guided!
I have done 1 and 2-day tours with Ibikeitaly...www.ibikeitaly.com. I loved it. linda
We are taking a bike tour through "Tuscany by the Sea" in September using VBT (Vermont Bycicle tours) and have heard wonderful things about this particular tour they do.
We have traveled with this company on 2 European trips and one Canadian one and thought they did a superb job. Great guides, who knew a lot about the history and folklore of the areas we were biking through. Hotels were comfortable with great food at the end of day, something we needed after a few long hours on the seats.
You can reach VBT at their website.:www. VBT.com
Enjoy.
We're doing this tour next week.
I took the TUSCANY tour offered through VBT. It started and ended in Florence, travelling to San Gimignano, Siena, Colle val d'Elsa, Pienza, Montepulciano and many other little towns along the way. It was a phenomenal experience. The guides were locals and we ate some unbelievable meals. I saw more than I ever expected and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
I definitely did not feel the region lost its authenticity, in fact, after seeing it on bike, I feel the people who see it by bus or car are missing out. So many times I'd stop on my own in the middle of a poppy field or valley and just savor the silence, the sun and the smells. It's all self-paced, so you can stop when and where you want and so many times I was there either on my own or with a couple other riders just enjoying the experience.
DuVine Adventures - www.duvine.com
They did a trip in Tuscany with DuVine - 6 days - we stayed in great hotels and the food was outstanding, lots of it. Bikes were in tip top shape and the guides really were friendly and knowledgable.
Go DuVine - it was a blast.
