My husband and I will be in Italy in June, mostly in Tuscany ( Florence, Cortona, Assisi, Montepulciano, Orvieto, Siena, Montalcino, Lucca, Cinque Terre..not in that order). We loved tuscany on our trip last summer, so were making it the focus of our trip this summer! We will be sticking to public transportation, but thought biking might be a fun way to get off the beaten path. We're especially interested in the biking around the Chianti Road, but we would love any suggestions for good areas to rent a bike for the day in tuscany. Thanks for any suggestions :)

We took a one day bike tour out of Florence which was fun (we then were on a 7 day cycle tour in Tuscany). Try this website:

They also rent bikes and arrange tours.
