Bike and B & B in Italy.

We are looking for B&B's in Italy that are associated with other B&B's. We like to ride bikes from one to the next with our luggage transported. We did this in Austria starting across the lake from Hallstatt and it was fabulous. No tours, no guides, no cheesy tourist traps as required stops, just directions to great places to see and ride on our own to the next B & B. We stayed 3 days at each stop. 2 days in each area would be fine too. We would like to start in northern Italy by the Dolomites.
Has anyone done this type of bike and B&B in Italy or set this up with a biking company?

The luggage transport is the trouble w/o coordination between B&B's

It's best using an established bike tour company. They have great rates at hotels/etc. and the route maps and directions are the most important part of the entire trip.

We've taken 8-9 bike trips with several different companies, based on the location. You might just Google "self guided bike tour Italy" and check out choices.

We've used Nichols Expeditions 4x now, http://nicholexpeditions.com/italy/self-guided-bike-tours/

I can tell you that riding from the Dolomites is not a great region for biking. It's mostly bike path, and directions are not easy, and the riding is either just in the valley, or high in the mountains.

Our luggage was transported and always waiting for us in our room when we arrived (after stopping for Gelato as soon as we hit town)

Most tours are a combination of hotels and B & B's. Feel free to PM me if you want more info on the tours we've taken. We travel with our personal tandem bike, and the companies have always been very eager to make sure our trips were AMAZING!
