Between Venice and Pienza, what is a good overnight stay on our drive?

After Lake Como, Verona, and Venice, we will rent a car to drive to Pienza. How long does it take realistically? Should we stop overnight in Bologna or Ravenna? or just have a lunch break and drive all the way to Pienza/Montepulciano so we can have three days at an agriturismo?

Thanks

Which of the 3 places you mention are you coming from?

Should be no problem to do it in one day from any of them.

After staying in those towns, we will drive from Venice to Pienza. We want to stop in Bologna or Ravenna for a few hours. Then drive to Pienza to arrive by 4 or 5 p.m. Is that comfortable?

It’s about 4 hours drive from Venice to Pienza, most of it on a 4-6 lane freeway.
I don’t know about you but I often drive from the San Francisco Bay Area to LA (about 6 hours drive) without spending the night midway in Los Banos or Coalinga, which by the way smells like sh.t due to the intense cattle raising along I-5.
It’s up to you, but I think you can drive it in one shot, maybe stopping along the way for a pit stop at a freeway rest area, which in Italy can be very fancy, with Autogrill chain restaurants and shopping, in addition to restroom and fuel stations, as you can see here or here

Love that I discovered you guys, after using many RS guides and shows.
Know that drive down from SF to LA well, so perfect image. Thank you!!!
How much time to pick up car in Maestre? What is easiest way to get into Bologna for two hours? Also , being Chinese, I heard Prato has a Chinatown. Is it worth s stop to see how Chinese immigrants settle in Italy? Is it reasonable to try to get into Oienza about 4 ?
