Between Cinq Terre & Rome, where to go for 2 days

I have 2 full days coming from CT June 10 before we fly out of Rome June 13. Were going to go to Naples/Amalfi/Capri - but that will be too rushed, I am told. We are spending 3 days in Tuscany on the Montepulciano side earlier in the month so don't want to re-visit there. What do you recommend for these 2 days between CT and Rome that would be either beach/snorkeling or enjoying country side (other west Tuscany places perhaps)- where to go? No museums or art galleries, we are doing those all before. Thanks!

Elsewhere on the riviera? How long will you be in the CT? Towns like Camogli and Santa Margherita Ligure (north of the CT) are super nice and obviously give you more beach time. But I might do them first before the CT.

Isola del Giglio is a nice retreat and it is not yet high season in June. Or you can stay in the mainland in Porto Santo Stefano and daytrip to Giglio. Great food, few tourists, accessible by train to Orbetello and then bus to PSS, ferry to the island. Very easy into Rome from there.

hey croney
glad to hear you changed areas. you'll love it so much and plan another trip to naples and the amalfi coast. check incinqueterre.com and apathtolunch.com about the area. find a town you want to be near beach, look at booking.com to see what available. or get name of hotel and email them. viareggio has a few in city center, walking distance to beaches. read fine print about cash euros arrival or credit card excepted, parking on property or further away and cost. near the train station for ease of travel. read what the facilities offer, air condition, breakfast included. more towns up the coast with parking. take a ferry ride to see villages from water view. Hope this helps you, happy travels

I'd rather suggest Isola d'Elba just an hour ferry from Piombino and plenty of things to do in the Little Kingdom of Napoleon . Piombino is just at half way between CT and Roma
