Hi
Please advise on better base for exploring near by towns, vineyards, truffles. San Giminiano or Siena What would you suggest?

Siena is big and lovely and medieval and evocative, and would be gorgeous for late strolls when the buses have all gone. Volterra is gorgeous and a real functioning hill town with residents. San Gimignano empties out at night, except for tourists lodging there -- it'd be my last choice.
