Hello,
Rick Steves recommends b-ticket.com for online reservations for both the Uffizi and Academia. Although this is economical the problem is that the earliest entry for tickets is 12:00. We are looking for morning entries. We have found 2 other websites (florence-tickets.com & uffizi.com) that offer tickets for entry times as early as 8:15. Are these 2 websites reliable for purchasing tickets, particularly uffizi.com? Thanks for your help!

Ask your hotel to make the reservation. Then just go a few minutes early and pickup your ticket. No risk.

Thank you for the response. Do you mean ask the hotel once we arrive or contact them in advance to make reservations? To ensure that we get tickets it's our understanding that we should reserve/purchase tickets in advance. Our trip is in early March.

We emailed our hotel in advance of our departure, telling them the day and time frame we would prefer. They emailed back with a good match and it was done. Upon arival at our hotel, they gave us a reservation number. It worked perfectly and there was no charge from our hotel.

we had our hotel set up our reservations, no problems. good luck :):):)
