We arrive in Genoa at 6:30pm on September 2. We are staying in Vernazza and are trying to figure out how to get their from the Genoa airport. The late arrival makes trains a bit tricky and a very late arrival.
Is it possible to take a taxi or arrange a car? 2 adults.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
The Genova Piazza Principe station (the main station) is only 15 min from the airport, by taxi (there is also a shuttle). So you can probably be at the station by 7:30pm. There are options at 7:47, 8:10, 9:17.
A taxi or private car has to be at least 250 euro.
If you could take the Intercity #679 departing from Genoa Piazza Principe at 19:47 you'd be in Vernazza at 21:23. Still dinner time, at least if you book in advance. For sure it would not be a "very late" arrival.
Since You must change trains in Sestri Levante at 20:36, you could spend the first night in Sestri and take a train to Vernazza the following morning. You'd still spend less than paying € 250 to a private driver. And you'd see a place more.
