Best way to Travel Venice to Manarola?

Hi all,
First time to Italy and trying to figure out the most efficient way to go to Manarola, if that’s a possibility 🤔. Any thoughts? Advice? TIA,
Kathy

Agreed - but I would say to expect 7-8+ hours door to door since on both ends you are dealing with difficult transportation options and you are crossing Italy at nearly its widest point..

Search for La Spezia on the Trenitalia website as the train station to use to transfer to local CT towns rather than Manarola if that's where you issues are stemming from. Once you are in La Spezia you can take the next local train to Manarola.

The Venice to Florence ticket is a fast train and can be purchased in advanced at some savings by sacrificing flexibility for price. You don't have to buy the rest of the ticket to La Spezia in advance but you might as well.
You will need to change in Florence and will probably also have to change again - probably in Pisa. Expect the Florence to La Spezia line to be crowded with Florence day trippers if you're in the first half of the day.

Looking in January they have Venice > La Spezia five hour (4:54) one change tickets which a real improvement. Maybe all that track work this summer is actually paying off.

Get the Trenitalia app for your phone.

Have a great trip,
