Best way to travel from Dubrovnik or Split, Croatia to Bari, ITALY

Hi I am researching the best way to travel from croatia to bari. Do they only have one ferry that operates out of Dubrovnik and its only 2x/week? Is the best option to fly? Please advise!

What month are you going? Off-season, ferries may be less frequent.

I last took a ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari in May 2015, they did not run daily.

I don't believe there are any direct flights from either Dubrovnik or Split to Bari. There would be a minimum of one change, more on certain airlines or on days when there are no direct flights to Rome.

The Jadrolinija ferry may be your best option. The number of sailings per week varies by season (i.e. they're generally more frequent in high season). I took the ferry from Bari to Dubrovnik, but because there were only 3 sailings per week when I went in late September, I determined the best sailing date for my overall itinerary and then planned around that. I don't believe there are currently any Split to Bari ferries. When there was, it went Split to Dubrovnik to Bari. If you decide on the ferry, I'd recommend a cabin with shower. While the shower was very basic (no separate shower stall), the additional cost was nominal and it was nice to arrive fresh.

I looked into this last year and found that Mistral Air flies from Bari to Mostar where you can catch a bus to Dubrovnik. A 3-4 hour ride. I opted out of that plan and took the ferry from Ancona to Split and eventually the bus down to Dubrovnik.
