After 3 days of Museums, Palaces etc. I would like to travel outside of Rome to the Ville Este. I have not seen this mentioned
on the forum before. Any assistance would be appreciated.

What part of Rome will you stay in? Have you checked Rome2rio website?

You could take a Regionale train from the Roma Termini station to Tivoli. The trip is a hour, more or less.

We are staying in the Trastevere area of Rome. Are there buses that travel to the Villa as well?

According to Signore Google, How do you get to Villa d'Este in Tivoli? The quickest way to Villa d'Este from Rome is to catch a direct train to Tivoli station from Termini or Tiburtina. The site is just a short stroll from there. Alternatively, you can catch the Metro Line B to Ponte Mammolo and then get the bus marked to Tivoli.
