We're ending our cruise in Civitavecchia on July 2, 2016. There are six adults and would rather use taxi or shuttle service rather then the train or ship transfers any suggestions? The latest posts are fairly old nothing later than a year.

We can not say enough good things about Rome Cabs. It is a private car service (not a cab company). I'm almost certain they provide a service from Civitavecchia to Rome. We always use them to and from the airport in Rome, and have always been very pleased -- would not hesitate to use them to get from the port to Rome. Go to romecabs.com and see what you think. We usually send an email and they answer us with a quote within 24 hours. You do have to pay cash (Euros) and the end of the journey but not in advance. If you decide to go via train instead, we can give you info about that also.
