Best way to get to our Praiano airbnb from Rome (Leonardo da Vinci Airport)?

Please help! Our trip is 3 days in Praiano and 3 days in Rome. We fly in and fly out via Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport.
We fly into Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Airport then need to get to our AirBNB in Praiano.
- Google maps shows it is a 3.5 hour drive via car but we are not renting a car. Is there a direct way to get there?
- I also saw an option to arrive next day via trains/buses (we really don't want to do this after a long flight)
- Should I try to change our flights to fly into Naples airport?
We stay in Praiano for a few days then need to get to our AirBNB in Rome.

Train from FCO to Naples via Rome is around 2 hours, I'd book a private driver from Napoli Centrale or from Napoli Afragola station to Praiano. Ask your hotel for a reputable company.

If Praiano is first, then fly into Naples and out from Rome, would be better than r/t flights at Rome.

There isn’t a direct way. You catch trains to Sorrento or to Salerno, via Roma Termini & Naples and then go by bus, ferry or taxi.

The ferries won’t be running yet but Praiano has no dock so doesn’t really matter.

It’s a rather long transport from Rome
Is there any chance you can give Praiano more time to make the travel worth it?

What time is your arrival? If it is morning, you'll be in Praiano by late afternoon no matter what method you choose. Is a private transfer in your budget? (several hundred dollars). You can nap on the train. There is also a direct bus from the airport to Naples.

Come back after you check into changing the flight.

Changing the flight is $1000 plus the difference in air fare. So I’m going to stay with my flight. We arrive at 7pm to Rome - going to stay the night in a hotel in Rome and look for transportation to take us to Praiano in the morning. Taxi or personal driver or a combo

That is likely to cost around $600.

A train to Naples and a car service would be less expensive. Perhaps your landlord can recommend (or arrange for ) someone to meet you in Naples

Are you aware that a private driver from Rome to Praiano will be in the 600-700 euro range? Plus the cost of Rome hotel and transportation from FCO.
Will you be losing 1 night cost in Praiano?

Since you are spending the night in Rome you could buy your train ticket to Naples for the next morning at a discount then have a driver take you from Napoli Centrale to Praiano, for about 150euros
Then do the reverse to return to Rome

Thank you! I will look into that combo as I did not realize a private transfer would be that costly.

So I'll look into doing the following:

  • Stay the night in Rome
    • Take train from Rome to Napoli
    • Ask Airbnb landlord to refer a driver from Napoli to the house

It looks like you could get even closer by taking the train from Naples to CASTELLAMMARE DI STABIA and then getting a taxi from there. Just one more idea!

They could also take the last high speed train to Naples and stay close to Napoli Centrale station instead of Roma Termini
