Best way to get to Hotel Campiello, Venice from Marco Polo Airport, Venice?

Should we take the bus or boat? Is there a train station from the airport to reach Venice lagoon? We'll have a toddler with us. We are arriving to the airport around 5:30PM.

Altenately, what would be the best way to reach the Santa Lucia Train Station in Venice? A Vaporetto?
Thanks!

Sonia, I looked at their website and I wasn't pleased with the directions to get to their hotel. Here's how to get there.

When you arrive and clear customs at Marco Polo, just go outside and catch either the ACTV or ATVO bus. About 3Euro and you can pay onboard, Both take you to the same place - the Piazzale Roma.

When you get to the Piazzale Roma, go over to the Vaporetto ticket booth and purchase a vaporetto ticket (6.50 Euro). One hint here is to go online with www.veniceconnected.com and buy a multiple-hour pass. The 6.50E individual fare is expensive.

Once you have your vaporetto ticket, you want the No 1 or No 2 vaporetto going to Lido. The No 1 is a local and will stop at every stop. It will take you 45 minutes to get to the San Zaccaria/Pieta stop. The No 2 is more of an express in that it doesn't stop at every stop. You'll save about 10 minutes on the No. 2.

Once at the San Zaccaria/Pieta stop, you are within a short walking diatance of your hotel. Hint. You will see the San Marco stop just before you get to your San Zaccaria/Pieta stop.

Thanks guys! I had looked up at the options, but I was hoping a train would be available. But the bus option is pretty much good too. I'll get the pass!

2x now we have stayed in Hotel Campiello's apartments that are just a few steps from the hotel. Lovely apartments! The fastest (and most expensive) way is by water taxi. The water taxi will drop you off very close to Hotel Campiello, which is located just a few steps off the Riva (waterfront). Go over the bridge of sighs and then cross 1 more bridge and watch for Calle del Vin and turn left. Just a few steps down this street. When we are coming from the airport we have splurged and taken a water taxi for the 4 of us. Worth every penny! Very easy to take a vaporetti to the train station. We purchased multiple day passes as we were here for 6 nights last July before moving onto Florence and we wanted to go to Murano and Burano. Have a great trip!!
