Best way to get to Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport from FCO

Our flight lands at 11:50 pm and I was looking at the Hilton Rome Airport or the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport. Price per night is not what i would like to pay but since we arrive so late and if we had to take a taxi to get to any other hotel that is cheaper per night we would probably have to pay $50-60 for the taxi.
I like to go to Hilton Garden since it is $40 cheaper for the night. I want to know how i can get to the hotel, other than getting a taxi (4.1k 7 min ride). how much do you think taxi would be for a short distance like this?

According to the hotel website, they offer complimentary shuttle service.

"Connections from/to the Airport will be provided by the Leonardo da Vinci Airport shuttle. The shuttle will depart the hotel starting from 05.00 am to 1.00 am. Shuttle stops at Departures Terminals 1, 2, 3, 5 and Arrivals Terminals 1,3. Follow Airport signage “Airport Shuttle” to reach the nearest stop from your Terminal. Between 05.00 am and 01.00 am the service runs upon request. Please use the courtesy phone located at every stop."

I don't know if where you want to stay in Rome can accommodate your very late arrival, but if so just go on into the city. Ron in Rome is a fabulous resource for Italian travel! That particular link is for all ways to and from FCO and Rome. It will help you with which option makes the most sense for you and your traveling party.

FWIW, an official taxi will cost a flat 48€ b/n FCO to within the city walls of Rome (where most hotels are located). Read that website for all other options and prices.

Check out Tripadvisor's info on airport hotels. Maybe one of them is cheaper than the HGI. We have stayed at airport hotels several times upon arriving in the evening. After 24+ hours of travel (and with such a late arrival time) it will be nice to be able to just walk (or take a quick shuttle) to your hotel and collapse.
