Hi,
We are staying in Lezzeno Italy for a few days on our Switzerland trip this May. We need to get from Lugano, Switzerland to Lezzeno Italy on May 13th and from Lezzeno to Pontresina on May 16th. I've been searching online and it's quite confusing, with multiple transfers, so I thought someone may have already done this and can offer me some advice for the best option.

Sorry, but you picked a fairly out-of-the way location (Lezzeno), so you will have to put up with multiple transfers which you may find confusing. It can be done pretty easily, but you will have to consult multiple scheduling entities, like SBB (for train to Como), Buses (asfautolinee.it for the C130 from Como S. Giovani to Lezzeno), Ferries (https://www.navigazionelaghi.it/en/tickets-and-timetables-lake-como/) for Lezzeno to Varenna. Trenitalia (https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html) for train from Varenna to Tirano. and back to SBB for Tirano to Pontresina.
Its all part of the fun of traveling.
