best way to get from Naples to Sorrento

From Napoli Centrali, take the Circumvesuviana or Campania Express (same route). It's an urban train, like a metro. Buy tickets at the station.

We are traveling to Italy in early September, and I just booked a private transfer from the Naples train station (Napoli Centrale) to Sorrento for 79 euros. I explored both train and ferry options, but given that we are starting our travel day in Florence (actually, Siena), I decided to save time and energy on this end of the journey by using a private car. I booked through Transferelax but there are other companies like Sorrento Cars. Hope this helps!
