Best way to get from FCO Rome Airport to Piazza Navona

I will be arriving around 2:00 in the afternoon and need to get from the FCO Rome Airport to Piazza Navona? What is the best way/easiest way to go about doing this?

Best/easiest is a taxi. Romecabs is very reliable and about €50 for the trip. Reserve in advance online. The cheapest is to take the Leonardo Express from FCO to Termini, then a taxi or bus (or walk) to P.za. Navona.

Diane, The method I'd use would be to take the Leonardo Express from FCO to Roma Termini, and then a Taxi to Piazza Navona. That's what I usually do when arriving in Rome and having to haul luggage. Happy travels!

I had my hotel send a car to the airport for me. I don't think it was more than a cab and you don't have to worry about finding your hotel/pension. It was so easy to just walk out and see someone waiting with my name on a sign. then I had time to master the rome bus system! enjoy

If you don't mind the ride, you could take the SITBus Shuttle for €8 from the FCO airport to Piazza Cavour. From there it's about a 8-10 minute walk to the Piazza Navona area. Or once at Piazza Cavour, across from the SITBus Shuttle stop is the taxi stand. A taxi will run you €5-7 for this short ride. For more savings, simply catch the 492, 30, 70, 87 and other buses for €1. Three stops later and you're in the Navona Area.

Everyone has their own idea of best and easiest. For me that would be to have romecabs.com waiting for me outside the airport. I have used this company many many times and they are always on time and very helpful. After a long flight I, personally, don't want to deal with hauling my luggage onto a train and then waiting in the cab rank to get to my hotel. This is a more economical way but for me it's not the easiest. For the extra amount I prefer to just have the driver load my bags into the car and then I can relax and enjoy the ride to the hotel. I think all of the options have been mentioned so you'll need to decide which is the best and easiest for you. Good luck. Donna

I also recommend romecabs. I made the reservation online. Vthe response was very quick. The cost was 50 euros for 3 people. The driver met us just past the baggage claim. He had a sign with our name. The vehicle was a Mercedes van with AC. He took us to the same area you are going. When the street became too narrow for the van, he parked and walked us to the lobby of our hotel. It was a most pleasant way to end a very long day and not much more than the train plus taxi.
