Best way to get from FCO (Rome Airport) to Termini Station?

We will drop our rental car at FCO, and need to get to our B&B near the Vatican Museum (Cipro Metro stop), on Sat., May 12th. What is the cheapest and easiest way to get to Termini Station? Has anyone done it by Terravision Bus?

Cheapest way is via SITBUS shuttle for 8E. It gets you there.

The cheapest way might be to ride a Cotral bus or the Terravision Bus from the FCO Airport to the Roma Termini Train Station. The Cotral bus costs under €4 and currently Terravision is running a special at €4 for travel to Roma Termini. (Normally the Terravision is only €6). Both these buses, and the SITBus Shuttle at €8, depart from the Bus Depot which is located at the far end of Terminal 3. If you come out of the frosted doors in the T3 Arrivals area, you'll turn RIGHT and walk until you run out of terminal, about 6-8 minutes. Exit the last set of doors to the main road in front of T3, and again, turn RIGHT. You'll see the signage and the bus depot quite easily. Once at Roma Termini, you'll have to catch the A line metro towards Battistini, and get off at the Cipro stop. That's perhaps the cheapest option - €5 a person or less! The easiest way would be to just jump in a taxi. Your accommodations are probably just outside the Fixed-Rate Taxi Zone but even on the meter, this ride will run you about €38-€40. I know because we lived about two blocks from Cipro station and often took a taxi from FCO for early or late arrival/departures. So convenience versus cost. Good Luck!

Terravision buses are 4 euro one way (just going to Termini) and 8 euro for a two way ticket (to Termini and from Termini back to FCO). You can reserve tickets online ahead of time or buy them on the bus. There will either be someone directly outside the bus (they will speak enough English for you to be able to buy a ticket, otherwise a ticket is a "biglietto") There are signs all over FCO advertising it and telling you where to go. Once you get outside turn right and somewhere along the way there will be an electronic timetable on the wall telling you what buses leave when. Once the bus gets into Termini go in the door it drops you off near and go down the staircase inside the door and both Metro lines are to the right. It is worth noting that no matter what time of day Termini is extremely busy (because they are remodeling and because this is the only point in which you can transfer lines) and it will probably take you about 10 minutes to get from upstairs down to the Battistini line. Here is the Terravision website if you want to buy them ahead of time:

The SITBusShuttle offers service from FCO to Piazza Cavour which is near the Vatican for 8e per person. You would only be a couple metro stops from Cipro and this would allow you to avoid the chaos of Termini Station. http://www.sitbusshuttle.com/en/timetable/

Unfortunately, the closest metro stop, Lepanto, is quite a walk from Piazza Cavour. If you choose to come in on the SITBus and get off at Piazza Cavour, it might be easier to ride the 492 bus to the Cipro area. It ends its run in the Cipro parking lot.

I have gone through a lot of threads to get to termini from FCO airport. I know the LE is the best and the fastest way, it seems expensive, and I have a lot of time. Now I want to take the bus, seems cheaper, there are multiple bus companies rite? Terravision ..is it safe to use the bus? can we carry the luggage into the bus?
Can any one recommend a particular bus company? Really appreciate the help Vijay

Annette, you really should post as a new question instead of hijacking a question that is over a year old. Now the OP is getting notices of new postings to her year old question.
