Hello, landing in Catania by air. Our tour starts in Palermo. Just wanted to ask: what is the best way for 3 adults to "painlessly" get to Palermo from Catania.
Just a little worried...never been to Sicily and we will be badly jetlagged.

How much time do you have between landing in Catania and the start of your tour in Palermo? I like to have at least a couple days before starting a tour/cruise, to adjust to the time zone and catch up on sleep. I ask because it could make a difference in the recommendations.
The train takes 5+ hours which makes the 2.5-hour bus the winning choice.
There are two bus lines that depart Catania’s airport every hour and both drop you off at the Via Oreto station in Palermo. Ask your hotelier the best way to get from Via Oreto to your place of lodging.
There are two "best" ways:
1) change your airline ticket to arrive in Palermo.
2) Car Service will pick you up at Catania airport and drive you to your hotel in Palermo. I used Sicily Life when I needed to get from the Catania airport to Taormina. You could see if they offer a Catania to Palermo service. If not, ask for suggestions. They were excellent.
