I have looked at the Trenitalia website at trains but since it's a regional train, there are no prices. There will be 3 of us leaving Argegno for the airport. Our flight leaves at 10 pm. A private car through Airport Transfers direct is 115 euros. Thanks!

Frank, when you say Central Station, do you mean Milan? Should I take the train from Como to Milan then to the airport?

Melanie, This is the method I'd use on that route..... > Travel by boat from Argegno to Como. Have a leisurely breakfast at the Hotel and head for the docks about noon. There are departures at 11:47 (arriving 12:11) and 12:44 (arriving 13:45). The first trip listed is via "fast" boat, so the cost will be higher. There are numerous other departures, but I just used these as an example. Regular fares appear to be ~ €6.90 PP. > When you arrive in Como, head for the Como Nord Lago station and use the Le Nord railway for the trip to Malpensa (that's the railway firm that operates the Malpensa Express). There are numerous departures, and the trip is between 1H:17M and 1H:40M (one change in Saronno). I didn't bother checking the distance from Como to Malpensa, so wasn't able to check the ticket prices, but I doubt they will be over €10 PP (they use a chart which relates ticket prices to distance travelled, so I'd have to do a bit more research). Since it is a regional train it will be very cheap. Take the train to the Central station and then the train to the airport. For three people it would be less than half of the 115.
