Hello All, i have reservations for the vatican, i would like to understand the best tour/approach in seeing the vatican.
I understand there are four colored tours, which ones are the best. I am sure they are all good. I will of course see the sistine chapel. Would like to see Rapheal rooms, pio clementine museum, pinacoteca, room of maps, borgia apartment,... Any others. thanks

It's not a matter of "best," it's about shortest vs. longest. The four tours are routes for self-guided tours. They go up in length (I believe A is the shortest and D the longest). All routes go to the Sistine Chapel and Raphael Rooms. The longer the route, the more other things it passes. When you enter, they show the estimated times it takes for each route, so you can decide based on how much time you have, how much stamina you have (the crowds combined with the splendor of what you are seeing make it an exhausting experience), and what you want to see.
