Best Tuscan Town For Christmas

I will be driving through Tuscany Dec. 22-27, 2010 and am looking for a great small village to spend the Christmas holiday. I want to emerse myself among the locals. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Jackie[INVALID] Real hard to pick just one. First choice would Montalcino. Lots tied for second place including Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano and Volterra.

FWIW, Assisi is famous for its Christmas creches. Tradition has it that St. Francis started the practice. (But Assisi is in Umbria, not Tuscany.)
