Best transportation option from the airport in Rome to Vatican city area.

I will be arriving in Rome at 8:30 PM and I am contemplating staying near Vatican City. Do you have any transportation recommendations.

I stayed by the Vatican and found it easy to take the train from the airport
It cost 8 euros you buy the ticket at the Trenitalia kiosk e.g.
08:12 Fiumicino Aeroporto (Airport)
08:38 Roma Trastevere (Rome)
RE 22017
2nd 19 min transfer time
08:57 Roma Trastevere (Rome)
09:01 Roma San Pietro

or you can take the bus which is less complicated not requiring a transfer:

Or you could use a private car service. We always use one and have always been very pleased. Rome Cabs is a private car service (not a cab company) but only cost a little more than a regular taxi. Go to romecabs.com and see what you think. We send an email stating our needs and they answer with a quote within 24 hours. You do have to pay cash (Euros) and the end of the journey but not in advance.
