Are you asking about Italy? Use trenitaly.com. General the national site is best. The Bahn.de is easy to use for all European schedules.

FWIW, we booked all our train tix for Italy online at the official site, and had no problems at all. This site gives you step-by-step help in booking on trenitalia.com: http://www.seat61.com/ We booked early, got the discounted MINI fares, and were very happy. Good luck!

trenitalia.com There is a lot of information on various boards that say you cannot book tickets with an american credit card. This changed in 2010. You can easily book tickets with any credit cards just like any other website.

Cindy, I'm looking at booking the mini tickets online as well (5 of us) but am hesitate about process. How do you actually get the tickets? print at home? email or what?
