Best Tours in Rome, Florence, and Sorrento(day trips to Positano and Capri)...Recommendations Wanted

Hi All,

My husband and I leave in a few weeks and all that is left to do is book a couple of tours. I have researched A LOT on what we are wanting to do and wanted to ask if anyone had suggestions on what tours to book with the following based off of their experience. There are a lot of different tours to choose from with different companies with each tour, but this is what we are wanting to do when in these cities.

What companies should we book through? We have looked on Viator and Tripadvisor

ROME
Colosseum w/ guide(looking into the day or night tour)
Vatican

FLORENCE
We want to do a half day or day trip to the Tuscany Area
Day tour to Cinque Terre for the hike/free time

Sorrento
Positano/Pompeii-i have seen a lot of different companies offer tours
Capri- half day trip or day trip- there is a lot to choose from and we are between booking with Nautica Sic Sic or MBS Blu Charter

People here suggest Walks of Italy for Rome, or Angel Tours.

For Capri you easily can DIY for a day trip. I do not have a reference for you.
We were based in Sorrento. We bought our ferry tickets early in the morning and headed over. Just know the last return boat schedule for the day.

Using guidebook notes we saw the highlights, relaxed attitude a couple of cafes,, and hired a boat captain to take us out To the Grottos. The Blue Grotto was closed so the captain took us to the white ones and brought us close to shore to see the beautiful clear waters. We went through the Isle and rode along The coast. There are many available. Just ask to se their license.

From Florence there are tours but I have no referral. I'd Google Florence day trips and use the Florence tourism website to find tours. People here have used the regional bus and visited a couple of places On their own within the day.

Note that Viator and TripAdvisor are resellers; it's usually best to book directly with the tour operator.
