We will be doing a twilight Trastevere Food Tour on October 20th. Sunset is at 6:22 pm. The tour times are 3:30pm, 4:15pm, 5pm, 5:45pm, 6:30pm. The 3:30 one doesn't sound very "twilight" but I don't think we want to begin at 6:30 and be walking around in the dark. Any thoughts on which time would be better to get the "twilight" experience? Thanks...Pam
Even if it gets dark I would opt for the 6:30 tour. You will be walking around with a group of people. The evenings are enchanting in Rome, especially in this area. Take a taxi to the Spanish Steps after your tour and wander over to the Trevi Fountain.
We took the 5:30 tour. The tour lasts 4 hours. The evening was lovely! I would pick the 5:45 or 6:30. I'm amazed at how popular the tour is now. We took the tour last year, I think there were just two times available. You will have an amazing time. It was one of my favorite things to do in Rome! Enjoy!
Grazie Mille. We will definitely go for one of the last two, probably 6:30 based on your great advice. Pam
Can you please tell me the name of the company that you are using for this tour? I googled it and many different tours are offered. Thank you, this sounds like fun. We will also be in Rome in October.
Here is the website for Eating Italy here . They have day tours and cooking schools as well as their evening tours. I enjoyed the evening tour and recommend doing the tour at the beginning of your trip. That way you can enjoy the restaurants on your own later.
Thanks! I am adding this to our itinerary, what a great way to see Trastevere.
