Best Sistine B & B in Rome

I will be traveling alone to Rome for the first time July 12-16. I thought I had a reservation at the Hotel Sonya for each night but when I contacted the hotel today to confirm my reservation I was informed that the hotel is fully booked on July 12. I am scrambling to find an alternative for that night and just made a reservation at the Best Sistine B & B near the Vatican. I have seen in the past recommendations for Aberdeen but it is also booked on July 12. Does anyone have any experience with Best Sisteen B&B or have a recommendation for another hotel or B&B? My budget maximum is 110 euros ($145). Thanks! James

We stayed at B and B Amor on vials guilio Cesare. Very nice about 10 minutes walk from the Vatican. Amazing breakfast.

"The hotel is fully booked" sounds like a standard reply and not a response to your confirmation request. Unless you're 100% certain you didn't have a valid reservation at Hotel Sonya, I'd try one more time to confirm as yours may be one of the fully booked rooms. Send a copy of the confirmation they sent you when you ask them to confirm. The reservation process is usually multiple steps, the last of which is a "we confirm your reservation" e-mail or a booking number if you reserved online. If they confirmed but lost your reservation, ask them to put you in one of their sister hotels at the same price. If they say you don't have a reservation and cannot offer alternative accommodations, make sure you won't be charged as a no-show (just as a precaution). If no luck at Hotel Sonya, you might also try Hotel Italia or Hotel Narduzzi, although they may be fully booked at this late date.
