Best route by rental car from Milan (Linate) to South Tyrol, Italy (Hotel Pension Sonia)

Greeting. In the first part of June, we'll pick up a rental at Linate airport. From there, we drive to Hotel Pension Sonia. What is the best route? In general, I mean that fastest route. Avoiding toll roads is not essential because we have a good budget. However, we absolutely want to avoid the dreaded ZTL zones.

From Hotel Pension Sonia, we have to drive to the parking area for the Adolf Munkel day hike. What route should be take?

A day later, we want to drive the Gardena Pass, coming from Hotel Pension Sonia. From the Gardena Pass, we'll head to Hotel Lago di Braies (Hotel Pragser Wildsee). The route we've mapped out isn't supposed to be the fastest. It's a scenic drive. Does the route look good to you? Drive from Hotel Pension Sonia to Val Gardena. Gardena Pass starts on SS242 in Val Gardena. Eventually, turn left on SS243 and continue to Corvara, then turn left on SS244 to get to Hotel Lago di Braies. This is a SCENIC drive. Not meant to be the fastest route.

The next day, after hiking, we'll drive to Heiligenblut, Austria. What's the best route to take?

Appreciate the input!

And where is the Pensione Sonia? What is the name of the town?
In any case, once you have the exact location, just use GoogleMaps to find the best route.
If it’s somewhere in the Province of Bolzano, the most direct way will be the A4 toll freeway east toward Verona, then at Peschiera you head north to meet the A22 freeway north, toward Trento and Bolzano.

Here's the address of Hotel Pension Sonia: Address: Weiden, 12, 39040 St. Maddalena, Autonome Provinz Bozen - Südtirol, Italy

From Linate to Verona, Google Maps is saying SP15b > SP 14 > A58 > A35.

Also, Google Maps doesn't have me going all the way to Verona. in Cavalcaselle, you turn onto SR450, which takes you to A22.

Does this look right to you?

Edit: Please remember that it is IMPERATIVE that we avoid the dreaded ZTLs.

The Cavalcaselle cutoff may be incredibly trafficked in August and maybe in some summer weekends; in this case going all the way to Verona may be quicker, as you do not have to exit the highway (queue at the toll booth) and drive a short but slow two lanes stretch.

It’s correct. Googlemaps is steering you right. Just follow the prompt from the GoogleMaps GPS.
The SP stands for Strada Provinciale, SR is a Strada Regionale, A is Autostrada (toll freeway).
Google is se ding you onto the A35 (aka BreBeMi freeway). So follow the signs to Brescia.
At Brescia you will merge onto the A4. Follow directions to Verona/Venezia.
You will exit that freeway before Verona, at Peschiera, to take the SR road to reach the A22 which comes from Verona and goes north along the Adige river. If you miss the Peschiera exit, and proceed toward Verona, you can still catch the A22 freeway there near the Verona airport, it’s just that exiting atPeschiera and taking the SR to go to the A22 is a shortcut that will save you a few miles, but in terms of time it is probably similar.
Then you stay on the A22 all the way past Bolzano, and exit at CHIUSA-VALGARDENA exit to take the regular highway to St. Magdalena.
ZTL are generally in the pedestrianized historical centers of towns, and there should be none in your route to your vacation apartment, however there may be some in the city centers of some towns, for example there is one in Ortisei and also Selva. But they are well signaled so you just park outside and walk in. But become familiar with Italian road signs, because European signs are based on the International Road Signage system and are different from those adopted in the US. You can find those signs also in the Wikipedia page, just Google “Italian Road Signs”.
