We want to catch as much as we can en route.....
The route where you will see the most is the Francigena pilgrim route which is a route that went from’Canterbury to Rome and last bit of this route goes via San Gimignano and all wonderful little villages or little towns.
The route is slow. There are also a lot of train stations along this route, so sometimes it is nice to do partly, walking or cycling, partly on the train.
There is a station every 5-8 miles about.

The route mentioned above will take you to these towns. Buoconvento, San Quirco d'Orcia, Bango Vignoni, Radicofani, Bolsena,Montefiascone, and Viterbo. All are well worth a stop.
