best resource for up to date travel info

My daughter attends university in Firenze. She is scheduled to fly back after being in the US for a month for Christmas. She transits through Amsterdam. She obviously has her student visa. I am seeking opinions on the best source for up to date information on testing/quarantine as every day we get a different answer from the airline representatives, internet, and consulate. Looking at pushing her flight back a couple of weeks to see if things become less confusing...(I know this is wishful thinking!).

The best resource is obviously the official Government website, but unfortunately often the pages are in Italian only.
The rules for students coming in Italy depends by the country where you are arriving from. I suppose she's from USA, so you must follow the rules for the country in the so called "Annex E": http://www.salute.gov.it/portale/nuovocoronavirus/dettaglioContenutiNuovoCoronavirus.jsp?lingua=italiano&id=5411&area=nuovoCoronavirus&menu=vuoto&tab=5
From these countries there are only few rules to be followed:
- travel only if authorized;
- declare you are not Covid positive and you are authorized to travel: https://www.esteri.it/mae/resource/doc/2021/01/modulo_rientro_sintetico_05_gennaio_2021.pdf ;
- go directly (possibly without use public transport) from the airport to your home/hotel;
- stay in quarantine for 14 days.
After that your daughter must respect the laws and rules of the region where she lives.

there's an article on the CNN website that updates every few days on travel restrictions, it seems pretty comprehensive. I was reading it just now, FWIW Bosnia and Montenegro welcome US tourists with only a negative COVID test beforehand.

As of a week ago to transit through Amsterdam you had to have a Covid test prior to the flight and then present it with a self declaration. It really doesn't look like things will become less confusing in the next few weeks although Florence is in the yellow zone now with the latest decree of a few days ago. The airline is responsible for allowing/denying passage to anyone not meeting the criteria (this was Delta for me recently). The quarantine in Italy is based on where your trip begins... not the same for everyone.

Thank you all. I guess the biggest problem we are facing is that Delta agents are very unsure about the negative test results being 72 hours from check in with Delta in Detroit airport or from arrival in Amsterdam. Linda, were you provided clarity with this?
