Which are the best rental car companies to use in Catania? Were you able to use any of the US cos eg Amex, Visa etc to cover the cost of insurance? Thank you

Get insurance through them (I usually get No Deductible option). Very few credit cards will cover you in Italy. It is not possible to decline CDW insurance in Italy.

We used Europecar in Sicily in Dec/Jan 2024. Service was good, the prices were honored, and they had convenient pickup and drop off locations.
