Best rar rental return location in Emilia Romagna region

Hello!

We will be staying in the countryside near Parma in October. We will then go to Rome from there. I figured the most logical thing to do would be to return the car in Parma, Modena or Bologna and take the train to get to Rome. Is there a city where it is easier to return the car and not getting into a ZTL and where it is easy to walk to the train station next?

A smaller town will always be easier

Use Google maps to locate the agencies and train station

You can return it in any of those cities, and all rental agencies are outside the ZTL, but only in Bologna the car rental agencies are walking distance from the station. In Parma only Sixt is. All others will require a short taxi ride.
