Best public transport to Borghese Gallery tomorrow am

We are staying a block from the Victor Emanuelle metro stop. But it looks like the easiest way to get to Borghese is bus 360. (Rome to Rio app) Looks like the closest metro stop is still a hike. Any other good options? Or should we just take a taxi? Our reservation is at 9 so not sure how much time to allow with rush hour.

My plantar fasciitis has flared up so walking less is good. Waiting in line for St. Peter’s today did me in.

We took a taxi from Ponto Sisto in August. It was fast, efficient and reasonably priced to that location ~10€. He dropped us off very close to the entrance. With your foot acting up, I’d go fo the taxi!

We took a cab there and back this summer. It's a wonderful museum. Have a great time.

Cab it is! Will save my marriage too. My husband would probably kill me on a 30 minute bus ride with all the stops.

While we did take a taxi there (left 45 minutes early for our pick up the tickets time), we did a grueling hours long walk back taking a self guided monuments and churches tour. I don’t recommend that strategy if your foot is still acting up after your 2 hours at the Borghese.

While I think a taxi is wise, you can take the #63 from the Arenula/Carioli stop near Largo Argentino to the Puccini stop, which is a 7-minute walk to the museum. Reverse to return.

FWIW, I would use Google Maps for bus planning and real-time info or the ATAC. Google Maps is useful in almost any city for public trans planning.

While out at 7 am this morning walking our dog Barley, I didn’t see one taxi. Then I remembered a post from a few months ago about an App called My Taxi, and that the name had been changed to something less intuitive. Went back to the apartment, found the post and downloaded the “free now” app.

Worked like a charm! The app is much like Uber and we can order an XL vehicle. Going to the pantheon this afternoon and hope we are lucky enough to get a driver that will allow a grande cane. Lifesaver for my foot!

Highly recommend “free now” App for people visiting Rome

Years ago, the bus stop for the BG happened to be under construction, so we were carried well beyond it before we could get off. Keep your phone map on and watch carefully if you take a bus. Cities are dynamic creatures.
