I will be in Assisi for three days. I will have a car. Where is a good place to stay where you can park close to your hotel? Eating establishment reccomendations also appreciated.....Thanks.....

In 2007 our family of 4 rented a 2 bedroom/2bathroom apartment at La Fornace Agriturismo just about 2 km outside of Assisi. It was a lovely place with swimming pool. We were here a week--Sat to Sat. Don't know if they rent apartments for fewer days or not but you could check it out. We had apartment "I Papaveri,"--The Poppies. I believe they also have B&B rooms to rent out too. We stayed at the guest house of the sisters of Atonement in Assisi for 63 Euros a night including parking,inside the city.
If you go to Santasusanna.org, click on "coming to Rome," there is a list of convents in Italy you can stay at. No request for deposit, they trust you'll be there when you say. The "El Doumo" for dinner was super--and cheap, and the best pizza we had in Italy this trip.

We were just there three weeks ago. The Hotel Ideale is at the top of the town and has a magnificent view of the valley. They also have private parking onsite. It is a family run hotel with breakfast included.

Been to Assisi twice . . . you will love it.
La Pallotta and Hotel Belvedere. Both very good.
Make sure to eat at La Pallotta restaurant (separate from hotel) whether you stay there or not.
