Best place to drop off car before getting to Rome

Hi. we will be renting a car in Lucca in Sept and then driving the Tuscany hill towns. We are planning on ending our trip in Orvieto and would like to drop the car there. However, my internet searches are not showing any rental drop offs in that town. Any other suggestions as to where we should drop off the car and then train into Rome? Want to avoid the traffic and congestion of roads near Rome. Thank you. Karen

It is fairly easy to get to the rental location near Termini for drop off. Just off of main roads. No driving through old Rome.

The Hertz rental office is 100 yards from the front door of the train station. It's a very popular place to drop off cars as it's just a 70 minute train ride into Rome Termini.
What rental car brand will you be driving?

As David mentioned, there is a Hertz office in Orvieto, which is close to the train station. It is in the lower part of town, not the hilltop, as my GPS directed us. You just have to cross the street and walk a block or so, to find the train station. Parking is quite limited in front of the office. My husband pulled into the gas station across the street, while I went into the office for assistance. Someone came out and checked the car there, and we were on our way.
