best place for weekend in may/june 2013

konica, It would help to have some idea on which cities or countries you're both interested in visiting? Would you prefer to just relax on the weekend, or tour historic sights, Museums, etc.? Would you prefer a country other than Italy, since you're living there? The answers to these questions will help determine which city to choose. One important consideration will be to choose somewhere that doesn't involve long transportation times and yet has good transportation options, as you only have a weekend. Cheers!

In May/June temperatures are nice in most places in Europe, bar Iceland or Greenland. I'd look at which destination you can easily reach from both London and Bologna, then, together with your sister, choose one place where both of you would like to spend that weekend. Nobody can really do that for you. Everybody has their own favorite places. From London you can pretty much fly anywhere. I agree with Roberto. Look at the Bologna Airport destinations and pick one to meet in. Wikipedia's a great source of travel info, with virtually every flights into and out of a specific airport.
