Last summer we took a day bus tour from Florence. We stopped first at San Gimignano, then on to Siena for lunch and in the afternoon we visited a private winery for wine tasting and a tour of the cellars. On the way back, we stopped at a small village for about 1/2 hour. It was such a quaint town, had only two long streets, with the upper one having most of the traffic. All I remember distinctly is that when the bus parked, the other side of the street was parklike with some unique, concrete benches. Where was this?
Was this the "Best of Tuscany" tour with Artviva Tours, by chance?
I don't remember exactly. I spent a few hours researching on the internet but can't be sure. All I remember is getting a pamphlet from our hotel and it was forrest green and white in color. I'm pretty sure it was advertised as "best of tuscany", but the more I start thinking, I start doubting my memory.
Your itinerary sounds the same as ours. If so, the last little town was Monteriggioni, spelling questionable!
Monteriggioni, that's what I thought so I looked up some pictures and it doesn't look familiar at all.
