So my family and I are getting ready to do our First Rick Steves tour: Best of Sicicly in 10 days ( as you probably have gathered by my millions of questions that you have all been so kind to answer)! Just wondering if anyone has ever taken this trip and has suggestions/recommendations/ideas on things to see, where to eat or anything else that can be shared?
Thank you all so much for your insights, advice and ideas. We are counting down the days.

I did this trip last October and truly loved it. You don't need more time in Palermo. I would recommend hiking to the top of La Rocca in Cefalu. In Taormina- I would definitely stop by Da Cristina Panificio and get an arancini or two. They have the best anywhere in Sicily. One great thing about Sicily is that your money will go farther so its a great place to buy gifts or leather boots. You will have a wonderful time. The food in Sicily is amazing.
Thanks Jenn for the great advice!!! We will check it out!
Sounds terrific. I'm sure you're going to have a great time. The cannoli are terrific, better than gelato. You may not see them displayed in the bakeries and sweets shops because they make them up for you when you order them, so be sure to ask. In Cefalu, it's fun to just wander through the streets. The cathedral is worth a visit, but the cloisters are not. Be sure to visit the cloisters at Monreale, though, which are lovely.
Here is a link to a site that has LOADS of info on Sicily.
Dig down thru the links and you will find all kinds of great info for your trip.
I went on the RS Sicily trip several years ago when it was much longer and did Sicily and all of Southern Italy (ending in Rome). It was a fabulous trip, but alas......it is now divided into 2 separate RS trips.
