Best of Rome Tour

For those of you that have been on the Best of Rome tour, can you tell me the general area where your hotel was located or close to what monument? In my recent 14 Day Best of Europe, we stayed at a very nice hotel, but it was located by the Vatican Museum. I am hoping the hotel for the Best of Rome tour will be more centrally located. I have also sent an email to the tour department asking the same question, but I would be interested in your feedback.

No, Rick uses hotels in various parts of Rome.

I will say, when we took this tour in 2010, we stayed at the Aberdeen, toward the city center, but walking distance from Termini. It has ever since been our “go to” hotel in Rome, although not as nice as some other RS hotels. We love the location and the staff.

We took this tour in 2023. We stayed at a hotel close to the Coliseum. I don't remember the name of it, but the location was good for us. We could walk to a few different metro stations. But I got the sense that many different hotels in different parts of the city are used for this tour.

We stayed at the Lancelot Hotel near the Coliseum on my Rome tour in March 2017. It’s a family owned hotel with spacious common areas and a large dining room, also, a patio. Very nice staff.
