Going on this RS trip next year with 13 year old grandson. Will be in Rome one day before tour starts. Asking veterans of this trip - where would you go that first day before the tour starts? I would appreciate suggestions of places RS trip doesn't cover as a group in Rome. Thanks.

E-mail RS's Travel Desk and ask that same question - I go to Europe every summer, and while there, take a RS tour. I end up in the tour starting city a couple of days prior to the start of the tour so I try to get the same information from the Travel Desk. I also find out the start city hotel name so I can make reservations to stay there before the tour starts. I ask that hotel to put me in a room I can stay in when the tour starts. Has always worked.
