Arriving in Rome from Durango CO on Saturday 9/10 —-a couple of days early to get acclimated. Interested in meeting up with any other tour members for introduction and taking in some early sites.
Airport touchdown Sat 9/10 at 11:00 am. Reach out to us if you’re gonna be there the same time. Perhaps we can all avoid the pickpockets together!!!

Hi Mike and Donna! Welcome to the forum! I’m sure you will absolutely love your tour. I think you are very wise to want to avoid pickpockets. I actually lived in Italy in the 90s and you really did need to be aware of your surroundings especially in Rome and in other very touristy areas. If you do, you should be fine, but Rome is such a wonder to behold, it’s easy to forget to watch your belongings.
It sounds like you have the right attitude no matter what others may say. Wish that I could meet up with you, but I’ll be here at home. Have a fantastic trip!
