Only have a few days in Rome. Where is the best location/community to stay? Thanks
There are lots of nice areas, but from the practical standpoint, on a short trip it's smart to choose a hotel reasonably convenient to the places you want to see. Every visitor has a priority list of his or her own, so it's a good idea to go to Google Maps, key in each of the sites your want to visit and click on "Save" so you'll have a map showing your sightseeing destinations. That will give you an idea of good areas for your hotel search.
Rome's Metro doesn't have great coverage, so in many cases it's more useful to take a bus, tram or taxi if you don't want to walk.
Most people stay — or wish they stayed — in Rome’s historic center for a first-time or brief visit. Here is information about the area. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g187791-d192283-Reviews-Centro_Storico-Rome_Lazio.html
We recently stayed in a hotel right next to the Pantheon. We loved it.
