Just got back from the best trip ever (thanks to RS and Helpline) and the best meal of the trip was in Sorrento! Going down to Marina Grande is worth the bus trip from the main town for the view alone,however,Ristorante Delfino and the Spaghetti Seafood were so great the we went again the second night for the same meal. It is fresh catch straight off of the boat and Luisa and her family treat you like their own family. The limoncello with the RS book caps off the greatest meal in Italy.

I second your opinion! We were there in May LOVED Ristorante Delfino! It was definitely our favorite place in Italy (probably favorite meal in the world)! The seafood there is amazing. Glad you also enjoyed it there!

I also had what I consider the greatest meal in Italy at L'Antica Trattoria in Sorrento. It wasn't cheap but the food and the service were both incredible.
I'll give Ristorante Delfino a try next time I'm in that area.

I agree!!!! We stayed at Settimo Cielo and walked down the mountain through the campgrounds down to Marina Grande. The meal was great, and as an added plus we enjoyed the sunset during our meal. Warning - they might not give you a free lemoncello if you can't eat all your food :-) But real warning, be alert to bus schedules. We missed the last bus up the mountain and had to walk up. It can be very barren until you get downtown.
