we were given a Garmin as a gift, but it appears that the only downloads of Italy will also be in Italian, and we can't see ahead of time if Sicily is included...what maps have helped you drive around Sicily? Thanks!
I like the Michelin series. There is a very detailed, spiral bound "book" map for Italy available, but the Michelin Sicily fold-up map is fine.
The language is irrelevant. You can always switch a Garmin to different languages and dialects.
Yeah, you should be able to select English. I would'nt depend on maps or even just the GPS. Sicily should be included also.
We have had a couple of Garmins and have to laugh at many of the "pronunciations" when set to the English language. Frankly, I can't understand any of the street names when in the English mode... so often we turn the sound off - or listen to the Garmin using the Italian language option. Very quickly, you learn the Italian for turn left, turn right, etc... And of course, my most used... "re-calculating"
ditto Zoe, and........ take your Garmin! You should have no problem finding out if Sicily is included...call and ask if their web site does not disclose the info. And there should be no problem finding/using English on your GPS.
