I recommend Papini Leather located near the Ponte Vecchio. I’ve shopped there for years. Excellent quality!

I, too, love the Scuola Del Cuoio (behind Santa Croce), and I bought a very special custom purse there. I also purchased a great leather jacket at Le Pelle https://www.lapellesrl.it/en/ This sweet little shop is right across the Ponte Vecchio in Oltrarno.

Just FYI: Right around the corner from La Pelle you’ll find Le Volpi e l'Uva, a lovely little wine bar where you can ‘rest’ after exploring the wonders of Florence.

We also shopped at the school at Santa Croce. I purchased a great navy blue belt and was sorry I didn’t get a black one also.
If you go there for a belt, they size it for you and add extra holes. Just ask.
I’ve gotten many compliments when I wear it.

We purchased all our leather at this shop. Apparently Rick himself was there at some point too. Michelli, the onwer, was wonderful. Fluent in English and very nice quality. You have to be careful in Florence about getting leather goods. We also avoided shops that were frequented by tour groups/busses. Have fun!
