Back in 2015, my wife and I took RS Best of Italy Tour and just loved it. We are considering taking his Best of South Italy Tour. I would be interested in the views of people that have taken both tours. Which tour did you like the most? What things did you like the most and the least in the Best of South Italy Tour? Did the Best of South Italy tour live up to your expectations? I would also be interested in your views if you only took the Best of South Italy. (Reposted under Italy to see if better response)
I have done the Hill Towns tour (after a solo visit to Venice), the South of Italy 🇮🇹 Tour and the Rome tour. They are all very different but I think it Hill Towns was my favourite. South Italy was good because it took me to a part of Italy I probably would not have gone to myself and I really enjoyed Naples, much to my surprise. Rome was amazing, of course, and I appreciated learning how to get around the city which has stood me in good stead since. The one thing with the South of Italy tour is that it does involve some longer bus days, but the stays make up for that!
I did the Village Italy Tour and really loved it. I have been to Italy several times and had seen the "biggies".
I really love the smaller places and the Village Italy Tour was just perfect.
(There were a few places on the tour that I had been before - but I loved the whole tour.)
yosemite,
I haven't taken the Best of Italy tour but have taken RS South Italy tour, and I thought it was excellent. I found the south to have a somewhat different culture than the north, and there were many interesting sights. I'd highly recommend that tour.
