Best hikes on Alpe di Suisi/Seiseralm

We're going to be staying in Kastelruth for a week in very late June and we're looking for some great hikes. We were there many years ago for just two days and we hiked up to the Schlern and also did Rick's recommended Panorama to Zalingerhutte hike so we don't want to repeat those. We also have a few picked up that are deeper into the Dolomites, eg Lagazuoi and one from Seceda to St Christina. We're in really good shape and very experienced hikers, but we're looking for something on the Alm that is huge in scenery and fairly easy (basically a warm up hike or a hike between really tough stuff).

Hi Cooper. It's not on the Alpe di Siusi, but across from it at Rasciesa. You take the funicular up from Ortisei and can walk either to Furnes (Half-way point of the lift to Seceda) or around the plateau. For the first option you take Trail 35 east to #9 to #8. From there you can hop on the lift up or down at Furnes, walk up to Seceda via Curona on the #2A and #6, or walk down on one of several trails.

For the second option, you head west on #35 and go all the way to Santa Croce, then head east on #10 to #31 and circle back to the funicular on #35.

Just a couple of ideas. I love to look back at the Alpe from across the valley.

Hi we did the Bullaccia round hike below a few years ago and really liked it. Easy but impressive scenery.
We had lunch at Arnika hut and it was very tasty.

Duration: 3h 15min Length: 7.75 km
Startpoint: Compaccio
Starting point for this very beautiful route is the mountain station of the cable car Alpe di Siusi. Follow the marking No. 14 and head west to the gentle grassy hillsides, now walk uphill until you get to the refuge Dibaita (1967 m).
The tour of the Bullaccia starts from here. Walk left to join the footpath marked PU through typical Alpine meadows and arrive at the Arnika hut (2176 m). In the summer season (June and July) the fields are at their best, flourishing and full of colours.
Continue east along the footpath marked PU to the Goller Kreuz (crucifix) and to the witches' benches, two enormous stones of red prophyry located on the western side of the rock. The panoramic view is breathtaking.
The tour leads on to the Filln Kreuz (crucifix) from where you can enjoy a view of the Gardena valley, of the little hamlet Bulla at the start of it, of Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva.
Continue south-west across the solpes of the Bullaccia on the practically level footpath marked OU or rather 14 and in approximately 1 hour you reach Compaccio.

Another idea I can recommend (and described in Rick's Italy guidebook) is the loop around Sasso Lungo (Langkofel), at the far end of the Alpe di Siusi meadow. It includes the very scenic Federico Augusto (Friederich August) trail, and dramatic views in many directions along the way. It may take as long as 8 hours for the full loop, which I broke up by staying at the Rifugio Vicenza. I'd suggest a visit to the Kastelruth Tourist Information when you arrive to go over options and details for that hike and others in area.

Another great hike is around the Drei Zinnen (Tre Cime). It'll take 4-5 hours and has amazing views al the way around.
