My husband and I will have almost a month in Southern Italy and Sicily this Dec/Jan (I know not considered the best time but we have a chunk of time then and we also like to travel during low season) and I am trying to find the best guidebooks for the trip. I plan to order the Lonely Planet Southern Italy that also covers Sicily. I could just go with that but wonder if anyone has any opinions/suggestions. I read poor reviews of the Lonely Planet Sicily book so I don't think I'll order it. We usually travel with Rick's books but in my old Italy guidebook he does not cover Southern Italy in much detail (Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Pompei). Help and ideas always appreciated, Velda
